Book Reviews!!

Some thing you have to read is the Pegasus series!!

This is the first book

And the 2nd book:)

In 2012 the 3rd book is finally coming out!!

Watch the trailer on www.hodderchildrens.co.uk/pegasus

These books are my favorite so far, I have been looking for the second book for ages and finally found it!!, if this series ends soon I will be so sad, hopefully the books will get thicker and thicker as they go! So far the second book is bigger then the first book. Kate O'Hearn puts in a lot of detail in her words and gives a lot of tension in your reading but also happiness when you get to the part of the book when it all calms down. If you like mythology and reality books then this is one for you, if you go onto the website take a sneak peek of the first book to see if it is the one for you, when I first picked up the book off the shop self I knew that I would be reading it like crazy!:)
If it is your type of book then you can feel it that it will be an excellent and something that you will love. The blurb of this book is very good as well, the first book blurb is this

- When Pegasus crashes on to her roof, 13 year-old Emily's life becomes that legend : epic battles, desperate chases, captivating flights astride the beautiful winged-stallion, and one heroic quest to save Olympus before the Flame is extinguished.......for ever

Book two Blurb by Kate O'Hearn-

Reborn as the Flame of Olympus, Emily must embrace her new powers and responsibilities. But all she wants is to return to her world, where her farther remains a prisoner of the sinister government agency, the CRU.

Battles with monsters and hero must be fought and as Emily launches on to a new flight of adventure astride the magnificent winged-stallion, Pegasus.

Horses Basics

Horses are great powerful animals and are very beautiful as well! Horses have being used for many thing as well as used for farming, transport and riding for fun. there are many breeds and colours going to the smallest breed the Falabella, the tallest breed the Shire to the most oldest- Przewalski and the most beuautiful the Arabian. The most basic coat colours are- grey, black, bay, cheastnut and dark brown.

HEALTH AND BUYING- All I am going to write here is is about colic B-) If a horse is showing any synmptoms  of colic then call the vet straight away. If a horse gets colic it might have being caused by- eating freshly mowed grass, ragwort or yew tree, a sudden change in diet, stress, eating and drinking straight away after or before exercise. if you are buying a horse make sure that it is healthy and don't be afraid to ask questions or else you may end up with problems after you bought the horse, also ask if it had any sicknesses or problems in the past if it is possible to get a different vet from the vet that the previous owner had because the old owner may have singed a deal that the owner would pay the vet an amount of money to say to the new owner that the horse is fine even if it has a sickness of some sort just so he/she gets sold, but that dosn't happen any more at all because it is the vets job to keep an animal safe, well and alive.

Ferrets! Basics

Ferrets are part of the weasel family, males are bigger then females (of course) so If you are thinking of getting a ferret think twice, they are very curious so be ready for things to be bitten or dropped. Ferrets can become GREAT companions and very friendly pets. They will try to be- friend any animal they come across mostly cats, little dogs or maybe big ones too, sometimes reptiles and even horses! The poos they do are not like rabbits or mice poo so don't be surprised. Ferrets don't like being left alone so if it is possible to get a companion for them then don't hesitate as they will sometimes grow bad habits, but if you can not get a companion for them you can be their friend. If your ferret is jumping around your feet then try and play with it and make it happy.

CAGE: With your ferrets cage you will need quite a big one and make sure that it isn't made completely out of wire mostly the floor or else they might get their feet stuck in them. With the food and water you will need to make sure that everything can be accessed without hassle. If you are thinking of getting a ball tip drink bottle then make sure your ferret knows how to drink out of it but preferably get a water bowl that is not light or else it will spill the water and leave its bedding or ground wet. If your ferret is around 5 to 10 weeks don't give it hard food it is harder to swallow for a young kit to prevent the kit from eating hard dry food, boil some water and pour a little in the bowl of food and then let the water cool down and feed it to him/her.

HEALTH & BUYING: If your ferret is not its self check if it's nose is wet its coat is not oily and make sure that it is shiny and also check if it's eyes are clear. If you wake your ferret up or it just wakes up and you feel it's nose it would sometimes be dry so don't worry if it is dry or not. When you are buying your ferret at either a breeder or a pet store make sure that it isn't   below 7 weeks old also check that it has clear eyes, a shiny coat and a wet nose if you have any complaints don't be afraid to tell the shop keeper breeder because the ferret could be sick and maybe it could be very serious or contagious. If it is a hot day put in an ice pack or something cold and/or wipe them down with a wet cloth or towel.
